Shenmue 3 publishing rights shift to Inin Games

Inin Video games has assumed publishing rights for Shenmue 3.

In a press release, developer Ys Internet mentioned its earlier work with Inin on Air Tornado “deepen[ed] the connection between Inin Video games and YS Internet”, including it was “excited” the writer would now be “shepherding Shenmue 3 into its subsequent part.”

Inin Video games says it would work intently alongside Ys Internet to “honour the collection’ legacy whereas guaranteeing its accessibility to much more followers world wide.”

Ys Internet is an unbiased studio based by former Sega developer Yu Suzuki. In 2015, its Shenmue 3 Kickstarter led to 2 Guinness World Information, together with one for the quickest $1 million pledged for a crowdfunded recreation.

Shenmue 3 debuted in fourth place in the Japanese charts on release, promoting lower than 18,000 models in per week dominated by Nintendo.
